A reception was held for Md Kawsar Hossain, a student of the Department of Journalism and Media Studies at Manarat International University (MIU), before his departure for higher studies in South Korea at the university’s permanent campus in Ashulia on Saturday.

Kawsar, a student of the department’s 26^th Batch, is set to pursue a master’s degree at a prominent university in South Korea soon.

The programme was moderated by Polite, president of the MIU Media Club. Rafiquzzaman, head of the Department of Journalism and Media Studies, Assistant Professors Md Mamun Uddin and Rehana Sultan, and Lecturer Tanvir Ahmed spoke at the programme.

Kawsar’s batchmates, friends and undergraduate students of the department were also present.
