Mr. Md. Mamun Uddin was Born in Chittagong and completed his BSS Honors
and Masters in Communication and Journalism from the University of
Chittagong. He completed a one-year Certificate Course with first
division in English from Institute Modern Language (IML) from the same
university. Mr. Mamun Uddin is currently serving in the capacity of
Assistant Professor in the Department of Journalism and Media Studies at
Manarat International University (MIU).
Mr. Mamun Uddin has about 7 years of teaching experiences at
undergraduate levels. He has a wide range of experience in
Communication, Editing, English writing skills, Bangla writing skills
etc. But, his major focus is in editing and English and Bangla writing
skills. Before starting his career at MIU, he worked at a renowned
online news portal in Chittagong. He also worked at the prominent
national English daily ‘The Independent’ as a Staff Reporter. He is
passionate in writing for different media and has been writing script
for Bangladesh Betar(Wireless) for about four years with high
reputation. Besides this, Mr. Mamun is a regular contributor for
different newspaper, online news portal and magazine etc. He is quite
active in social media also with varieties of social issues and
challenges.
In addition to these, he is quite enthusiastic in research. His five
articles were published in recognized national and international
journals. ‘Nexus’ is the first book of Mr. Md. Mamun Uddin. He has
completed lots of MOOC courses from Canvas Network and Coursera to
enrich his career. Alongside teaching, he is the Head of Communications
of Youth Platform for Sustainable Development – YPSD, an international
voluntary organization working with sustainable goals of United Nations.
Mr. Mamun is also the Moderator of Media Club of MIU.
Research Interests:
Mr. Mamun Uddin is passionately engaged in different research
activities. He has already published five (05) articles in recognized
national and international journals and his important research work is
going to be published soon.
